Course Requirements for Emphasis Courses Required (6 credit hours) • GEOG 4410 - Sustainable Land Use Planning Credits: (3) • GEOG 4420 - Advanced Urban and Regional Planning Credits: (3) Electives (12 credit hours) For students completing both a major and a minor, the requirements of the major field will be reduced by fifteen hours. For students who wish to complete the Planning Emphasis Program in lieu of a minor, GEOG 4410 and GEOG 4420 will be required as well as 12 hours of interdisciplinary courses from the above list outside the major field.
