Show there is still some regret having to give up your church activities in the branch. So it is with Andy. He surely must be a very fine fellow. I surely hope the future treats him well. I am sure you will miss Andy. He must have been a wonderful president as you have written. You stated he doesn't seek to take much credit for what he does sounds just like one swell fellow I know. My dear, sweet husband is also very modest. I know that you have helped the presidents of the branch there more perhaps than your realize. I surely am proud of you. Jerry is beginning to know what we mean when we say 'No'". November 7, 1944 LOWELL MARRIOTT HARROP Baby Lowell born weighting 7 lbs. 2 ounces. May 24, 1948 EASTER SUNDAY "Easter Sunday and also General Conference. Aunt Lettie and Donna here to Easter dinner. Mother, Aunt Lettie, and all enjoyed General Conference on television." April 5, 1953 "Mother and I enjoyed the final session of General Conference over T.V." April 6, 1953 "Dr. Harding advised Mother to make no change in lenses due to her condition changing. We ate at Finer Foods. Bought Mother a suit at C. C. Anderson'sa beautiful lilac shade and a hat to go with it. Mrs. Sanford came to look at T.V." April 29, 1953 "Vern and I were invited to Donna and Willard's. We four talked about building or buying a home. Prices are higher than last year. Wonder if we will ever make a change or get a home of our own?" April 29, 1953 "Let Mother and boys out at the Ogden Theater to see 'Tonight We Sing'. Picked them up at 5:30 PM. Mother was very pleased and impressed by this picture. Vern and I left at 6:00 PM to can corn40 cans for $5.00-well worth it. Jack Woods said that he had purchased a lot across from Mr. Moran on 9th St. Wonder if and when and where we might decide to buy a lot." September 4, 1953 "I canned one bucket of tomatoes. Orion and Charlotte arrived this evening from California. We had chow mein after Vern's dance job at the Berthana." September 5, 1953 BISHOP RUDGER DENT "Vern and I attended the division of the Ogden 21st Ward when the 42nd Ward was created. Rudger Dent will be the new Bishop of one of the wards."
