Show needs ahead of everything, remember that dear Madeleine who sacrificed so much. After being blessed to read the history of the Farley family, you can readily understand her heritage. This was the first family to embrace the gospel in Italy. Musical talent and love, as has been mentioned before, were their contributions to this world. Dear Sister Mary Marriott, Madeleine's Mother who I knew as a child, was such a gentle soul with gracious charm. Ida, how hard it must be for you to be that last leaf on the tree but what a heritage has been yours. What do we leave of ourselves on this earth? The material things mean so little. Only the goodness and service we leave are what counts. This strong family, along with Harrop line, have left such a legacy of wealth-truly the kind The Savior wanted from each of us. At the close of the year with all of the Pioneer celebrations that we have witnessed, how fitting it is that Madeleine and Ida could be honored at that family reunion last summer. Jerry and Lowell now have the blessing of carrying on the tradition in the family of the reunions which they will gladly do. Remember in those moments of missing your dear parents the comfort you will receive in being the sons they wanted you to be. Just knowing your legacy and strength of your ancestors will give you the courage you need to go on. One of my favorite sayings in life is "A friend is a present you give yourself". At this up-coming Christmas season, one of my greatest gifts ever received has been knowing the Harrops and the Dents. Friendship was more like family. We have known sorrows and we have known happy times. What a grand reunion our parents are now having on the other side of the veil. And though we are the ones who remain and have to endure the sorrow of missing them, we truly have the memories of parents who have given us a great heritage. May the Lord be with each of you and give you peace and comfort, and with Jerry and Lowell and this wonderful family who has truly given all of us something to live for. What a blessing it has been to know them: I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen. IDA MARRIOTT KYLE, Piano medley "Alice Blue Gown", and "Someone to Watch Over Me".
