The collection includes Autobiographies, Oral Histories, History of Marriott, History of Slaterville, and the History of the Merging Townships to create Marriott-Slaterville City. This information has left behind rich histories, stories and important information regarding the history of the Marriott-Slaterville area. |

Show She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, having lived in the Ogden 7th, 18th, 47th, the Wilshire (California) Wards, and was currently a member of the Canyon View Second Ward. She was a Sunday School and Primary teacher for over 32 years, a ward newsletter editor, ward Relief Society board member, and a visiting teacher. She served on the Weber County Board (North Company) Daughter of Utah Pioneers. She was a member of Fidelis Literary Club and the Kappa Delta Chi. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Horace, Orion, Milton, Edward, and Darius; and her husband. She is survived by her sister, Ida Marriott Kyle, of Bakersfield, California, and her sons, Jerald (Jerry) Vern Harrop and Lowell Marriott Harrop; and nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank her devoted physician, Dr. David W. Richards, for his incomparable care and concern. We wish to also thank the many friends and relatives who have been supportive. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the John Marriott Historical Society c/o Hermoine Tracy Jex, 272 Wall Street, Salt Lake City Utah 84103. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. at the Ogden Canyon View 2nd Ward Chapel, 9th Street at Harrison Blvd. Interment at the Ogden City Cemetery. Friends may call at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd, Friday, December 5, 1997 from 6 to 8 P.M. and Saturday at the Ward Chapel at 9th and Harrison from 9:45 to 10:45 A.M. prior to the funeral services. |
