Show followed through the many years. RELIEF SOCIETY In our current ward, some of the lovely sisters who have been my visiting teaching partners are Joanne Chambers, Elaine Carlson, Nell Osmond, Melba Longfellow, Helen Ralphs, Linda Brown, Lila Ralphs, and LaVon Terry, who is the best of neighbors and a friend indeed. Some of the sisters I taught as a visiting teacher were Phyllis Champneys, Dorothy Champneys, Fern Rasmussen, Carol Favero, Doris Housley, and Velma Cain. The last sisters I visited were Hazel James, Enid and Adele Poorte, Karlene Lindley, and Maxine Marshall up until the time of her death. CHURCH SERVICE When our current Canyon View 2nd Ward was the Ogden 47th Ward, I was called to be the editor of the monthly ward newsletter. Paul Ripplinger was Bishop at the time of this call. I gathered the information from the various organizations and then typed the master. Vern would run off the copies on the ward duplicator. Then the family would fold the newsletter, insert it in the envelope, address the envelopes, and give them to the ward finance clerk who added the donation receipts. For two years in the Relief Society, our President, Marge Rasmussen, asked me to schedule the adult sisters of the ward to offer prayers in Sacrament Service. For several years at the request of various presidents of our Ward Relief Society, I was called to be the person in charge of arranging for various sisters to serve in the lunch program for the Relief Society Workday Evening Meeting and for special occasions such as the Relief Society Birthday Parties, luncheons, and Christmas luncheons. For about six years, I was asked to be the Home Teaching partner with my husband. We served until January 1991 when Vern was no longer able to function in that responsibility. Among those we visited were Artel Hurst, Dora McKay, Dee and Genice Zweifel, Lewis and La Vaun Terry, Vera Ahrensback, and Edna Dover. I have served as a teacher in the Sunday School and Primary for over thirty-two years total in the various wards where I have resided. I have thoroughly enjoyed my callings in the church and appreciate the instructions I received in a religious and spiritual way to help build a testimony of the truthfulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
