Show way in which Madeleine lived her lifeclearly the perfect example of Christian life. Our family will miss her deeply, but our memory of her will last us a lifetime. Her loving ways, kindness, and gentleness will always be with us, and we thank God for allowing us the privilege of having her in our lives. We do take solace in knowing that Madeleine has been welcomed into Paradise by Vern to take her rightful place with her Heavenly Father and her family. KATHY SANSONE, Remarks Jerry and Lowell when I was helping your Mother recuperate last winter, Madeleine often would tell me how thankful she was that she had both her boys and how good they had been to her. But like all Mothers, she worried about them. I promised her then, and I promise her now, that they will always be family-with our family. We thank God for her, and for Vern, and for the two boys and all they done for us, and we thank you for the opportunity to express the special relationship we had with them. We loved her very much. LOWELL MARRIOTT HARROP, Remarks I must first thank my Father in Heaven for wonderful, angelic parents, a wonderful brother and dear family. I testify that Jesus Christ is our Savior, and I testify of the power of the Holy Ghost and of his special role as the Comforter. I didn't think I would be able to do this but I have felt a great peace, and I feel the spirit of the Comforter here today. On behalf of Mother, Jerry, Ida, and myself we want to thank all of you for being here today. We thank you for being the special influences that you were in Mother's life and in our own. Mother had a great gift for recognizing the good and wonderful traits in all that she met. And if she could today, she would tell each of you of your qualities. And because of Mother's age and keen mind, for many of you she would be able to tell of the greatness of your parents and grandparents. We so appreciate all of you who have supported us in many ways--for those on the program who have been put out of your comfort zone but who readily accepted. Jerry has recognized the speakers. May I thank the musicians. Our dear Aunt Ida, who Mother loved so much, and of whose talent she was so proud and supportive. With their homes in two different states, I know that there were times that they wanted to be together, but commitments for family or health precluded this. They did, however, have wonderful long visits on the phone, and we have the telephone bills to prove it. My |
