Show great cousin Pam for her humor, love, and care for our dear Aunt Ida. We appreciate you, Pam, and we appreciate all you are doing alone to assist Aunt Ida. Martha who always gives to us so readily and generously of her glorious voice. What a gift to have this voice in the Ogden area. Our dear special friends, Carol and Dean Hurst. Carol, I can't begin to tell you what a tremendous support you have been by calling us daily when Mother was in the hospital. Carol kept us fed when it seemed we couldn't eat, and on whose impeccable taste we relied for the last of the funeral preparations. It has been a great gift for both Aunt Ida and I to know Carol. Carol and Aunt Ida's piano teacher was Frederic Dixon. This common link has bonded us together tremendously. And Dean, her wonderful husband, we thank you for immortalizing our Marriott homestead. Mother prized your great artwork. They are priceless friends. Brenn, I haven't forgotten you, you're coming later. Jerry and I want to thank our supervisors and co-workers at both AT&T and the State of Utah for their understanding, flexibility, and support during Dad and Mother's last yearsJerry's boss, Shari Neal, and many others. My boss, Vonnie Richards, who has been so understanding and so sensitive. Vonnie you'll never know how much I have appreciate you letting me be so flexible at this time. Vonnie just about pushed me out of the door on the day Mother died. She said we don't need you here, we like you here, but we don't need you here. Get up to the hospital-you need to be with your Mother. I do appreciate that. Louise and Colleen, my two little buddies back there, for your immediate flexibility and support and for filling in many times without question or complaint at a second's notice. I love you both. Thank you so much. My great traveling and commuting companion, Jackie Gurnee, and her family for all they have done. Jackie has kept me alive on the freeway many times along with the Lord. How can we ever thank the dear friends we consider family, Don and Kathy Sansone and their children, spouses and grandchildren. Jerry and I often mentioned to Mother that these would be her only grandchildren and great grandchildren and she considered them as such. Thank you for your countless meals, visits to the hospital, and gifts and kindness we have received from these dear and caring people over the years. I feel like everyone is family today, and you can see our little family is dwindling here. So we want to adopt all of you, and we do so much appreciate all of you. You are all family. We want to thank also our dear friend, Dr. Dave Richards, who headed up a magnificent team of physicians at LDS Hospital. We counted 16 physicians who attended to mother, but Dr. Dave was and is number one. I wish there were a thousand clones of him for all of you who need |
