Grade Requirements: A grade of "C" or better in courses required for this major (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable). Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for either the Choral or Instrumental Emphasis; a minimum of 64 credit hours is required within the major. A total of 40 upper division credit hours is required (courses numbered 3000 and above); 23-28 of these are required within the major. Students in the BM and BME programs must be enrolled in Class Piano or private piano lessons until piano proficiency is passed. Students may not register for private instruction at the 3000 or 4000 level until piano proficiency is passed.
