Because there are no hard deadlines, except for the final exam, students in TERM should be self-motivated and have good time management skills. Placement in Mathematics Courses To prevent delay of graduation, all students requiring developmental courses need to begin those courses immediately. Developmental Math courses provide foundational skills necessary for college level courses. Students are placed into mathematics courses using a weighted rubric of high school GPA and Math ACT scores, of high school GPA and Math ACT scores. If you do not have a high school GPA and/or ACT score, or if you wish to challenge your course placement, you should take the Math Mastery Exam.
