The students will spell the best to their abilities, including the correct capitalization and punctuation. Afterwards the teacher will write the sentence on the board. The students will correct any mistakes they made, including capitalization and punctuation with a different colored pen. “Should she use her cane at the zoo?” Day 3 S ort pictures & words into the hard c soft c sort (5 minutes): We are only focussing on six spelling words that have the hard c and soft c words but there are many more words with the hard c and soft c. Let's sort the pictures & words. Pictures help students to connect words with meaning. Students will cut and paste pictures/words into the correct sort. Irregular word practice (5 minutes): Write the three irregular words. Use elmer glue and sand to trace over the letters of the spelling words.
