Show EDITORIAL These Degenerate Souls Ink-splotched on a white wall is the work of one of Ogden High's hang-bellied dogs, yellow skunks, or damned asses--whatever we may appropriately appelate the demented fools. A string of dots and dashes is, by no means, a pleasant sight to see. And when it is seen in this new building, it oan be viewed at first, only with horror, then extreme disgust and repulsion. Perhaps the realization, that only sandpapering can remove those spots, will arouse the little mentality these fools possess to working, and furnish them with food for thought. A scratch three inches wide and about twenty-six inches long was made on a wall on the base¬ment floor. The youthful athlete who did. the deed lacked so much in common sense that he endeavored to touch the ceiling be running against the wa11 to climb it. To think: that this school har¬bors such people! (Incidentally, the lad is known.) All the glasses in the fire- alarms, though recently replaced, have been broken by these same few, privileged, good-foi-nothings. They have removed the rubber, door-knob, shock absorbers and have gone to the extreme , by stealing the tops of the soap plugs in the lavatories! They are fools, shysters, imbeciles, inebriates of their own ego,— cowards, everyone of them! None among them have the intestinal fortitude to keep from doing wrong! We suspect that among these shiiftless "things" are numbered some of the athletes and socialites of this insti¬tution. And our suspicion-, we believe, is not ill-founded. Fellow students! This is our school! Our parents built it for us, and we should leave it in as good a condition as that in which we received it. Apply this principle to this building! Our President, Ray Stewart, promised in mid-September , protection of this school with these words: "We will keep it clean and unmarred as we have received it." LET US KEEP THE PEOMISE OF HIS WORDS! As for those degenerate souls, the time will "catch up" with them yet. Unless they reform themselves, their lives will be spent "behind the bars" The world has little or no use for such as they; even in our own little society, they are but a blot—unwanted, yet here!
