Show Introducting: --- My Pet Ambition By Stomo Ochi An ambition is more or less a dream unfulfilled. To talk of an ambition is to adventure into the ethereal land. And, tho' ambitions may change, he who has ■ an ambition is more prepared to meet life if he be determined to fulfill his dream than he who has not. This column will consist of authentic information upon the ambitions of many students. THE FOREST RANGER.... Clair Boyle, smiling young president of the Junior class, plans to be a forest ranger. The life of the forest ranger and the close contact with Nature fascinates this student. He de¬sires to work in a lumber camp where he can observe the ways of Nature and the process of making lumber in the mill from the forest timber. This he considers the primary step. After attending college and obtaining his degree, he wishes to ret employment as a ranger of the U.S. Forestry Depart¬ment thru the civil service examina-tions. The life of the forest ranger is a life in the open, out in the woods and among the mountains. It is a life in the world of Adam. Its routine of inspection is broken by trips on snowshoes and skills during the winter when the clime is zero below. A keen wit and a sense of appre¬ciation of nature, a sense of humor, and fine sportsmanship, ability to shoulder responsibility and conscien¬tious labor are a few of the requisites for this work. Because he has these qualifications besides many other virtues, Clair Boyle is well qualified to fulfil his ambition. HEAR YE! HEAR YE!
