Show THIS MAN EYE (cont'd) if the students dance or not. If it is watching they enjoy, that is all right by me." We have in Mr. Eye not only a great leader, but also a man who will back our student activities and promote school spirit in Ogden High School. We can easily see that Mr. Eye is a fast moving man; if we expect to keep him in Ogden, we will have to do some fast stepping. Ida Rose Langford club news "Sportetts" is now a "going concern." It is composed of twenty-five girls interested in all athletics, both for their own advancement and for promoting school sports. The officers are president, secretary and vice- president respectively: Constance Ford, Kathrine Wiggens, and June Coop. The advisor is Coach Moesinger. Bowling is at present holding high place, but hiking, iceskating, skiing, basketball, and bicycling have all been given a share of interest. Meetings are held to obtain unusual information on all sports. "Sportettes" was re-organized from last years sport club, Perge Modo, but the name ana constitution were changed to confirm with new school rules. June Spong UNIVERSITY PROFESSOR AT FINE ARTS MEETING The Writers Guild was honored to have for their guest speaker Professor B. Roland Lewis of the university of Utah. His subject, "Poets and Poetry", was very interesting to both the members of the Guild and other members of the Pine Arts Society who heard him. Professor Lewis has a striking personality and a sense of humor that made him appeal to every one who met him. One thing that amused me especially was his statement that we high school students should not be compelled to read Shakespear's "Macbeth". It looks as if we have someone on our side. Professor Lewis was very enthusiastic aboat "The Tattler'. He said that he was glad to see that we were interested enough in writing to do this and to encourage other students in writing. He was very sorry that we did not have it in newspaper form so that we could send him a copy. Delia Marriott |
