Show ORCHIDS AND ONIONS HAVE YOU HEARD An orchid to each student who bought or sold a ticket to the "On to St. Louis'' concert, and to those who bought an "On to St. Louis" tage . An onion to the certain girls who won't speak to their friends when they have "him" with them. An orchid to the students who thought enough of their school to get behind it at the frames . An orchid; What makes Miss Evans a grand teacher? We'll tell you. She lives with her students; she laughs with them; she works with them. She's a real chum. (Would that all teachers were like her.) An onion to some people who consider themselves "aristocrats" and who are really "snobocrats." An onion to the Board of Educa¬tion for refusing to give those students who have turned 18 and yet live over 2 and 1/2 miles away from school car tickets. They promised us tickets and then when a crack appeared in the promise, they crawled through it. An orchid to Marjorie Tanner. She has a grand personality and is grand to everyone. At this time we will send an orchid to the seniors who are at last giving the juniors their party. Lady teacher: (angrily) Who put these flowers on my desk. student: Mr. Merrill. Lady Teacher: H-m-m-m. Pretty, aren't they. (Orchids?) G.B. is a good man, but K.C. must be better, for he stole the Queen of Hearts. Losing your grip, G.B.? Wonder what the girls think now that the R.O.T.C. military shakeup has occured? Some of the officers were demoted considerably. Will lack of brass buttons affect Cupid? We wonder Don Bailey was a good actor, a good player, a sport, a fine kid. He was one hundred percent sterling silver, but he doesn't live here any more. He committed suicide last Wednesday when his girl friend proved false. (Or didn't you see the play?) When a senior or a junior gets out of place in an assembly now, he knows that he is perfectly safe. Spring is here (almost) and couples have taken to sitting in parked cars . Girl to S.S. as she gets out of car: "Glad to know you better,S—." And we thought him immune. It seems that smoking off the campus means in the middle of the road. Here's to more power for you, boys. For the benifit of the "old time" clubs that consider themselves "it", let this bo a reminder that you don't even belong. LOST AND FOUND Found: A pair of gold rimmed glasses . Large Silk handerchief with black border, orange and black and green center. Boy black kid fur lined gloves. Please go to office to indentify lost goods. Edith Anderson |
