Show Music Department Many anxious hearts are hope¬fully end impatiently awaiting for the final descision from Mr. Hansen on whether they are selected to go to the St. Louis musical festival. Tryouts are being held daily, determining the lucky sixty. Mr. Hansen, having the most difficult job in his musical career, is doing his best to be fair in his selecting. The other fifty or so who will be left out will just have to be good sports about it. A concert in which all musical organizations are to be recognizes will be the determining factor in raising the necessary money lor the trip. The opera has been postponed. After expensive arrangements had been made, the opera plans had to be halted until after the choir has returned from St. Louis. HAVE YOU HEARD? What would M. B. say if she saw Joe K, 1olding hands with Emma M.? Margie J. has been all eyes to the owner of locker A-56 since Central's last dance. He surely has what it takes. bet I could poke the amount of studying done in a study period into the barell of a shot gun! Boys' and girls' minds seem to run together too much. Does A. R. like M. W., or is it just a passing whim? (She's a swell girl, this A. R. ) E: "Hey, have you ever seen a bear cub?" D: "Sure, why?" R: "I haven't. Everyone I've seen has fur on it." D: "Sap!" Warning to some dancers; Be careful; don't stoop too low- skinned knees are terrible. Keep eyes openI If her hair gets in your eyes—-straighten up. What has been the topic in the notes which have been pass¬ing in the fourth period history class between Dahrl R. and Joe K. Blood is an essential of life and yet some of our boys were willing to offer some to save another's life. Here's to you fellows and may there be more like you! This old clothes week brings out the true "poisen-ality" of some of our "bestest" ones. We have everything from London Bridge's falling down to a woolley worrn with a bell on it. Jealous women have two faces. Sometimes they forget to paint the second face and the true complexion shows. It is then that you want to apply the cold cream. PEEK PEEK |
