Show SHORTHAND DILEMMA Of all the noise or eat ins: devices, the one the janitors oall the "carry all" takes first place. The "Garry all" is that oversized waste paper "basket on wheels that the janitors push around the halls. Of course, a little noise now and then does no harm, but there's a time and place for every¬thing; and the time for noise isn't during a shorthand class. If you care to check up, ask Mr. Child or any other teacher who dictates to a class of shorthand students. The trouble is this, when a shorthand teacher begins to dictate a letter and is enterrupted, he must begin the letters gain. After about the fourth time of beginning again because of the "carry all's" screeching up and down the hall, all concerned are more or less d is prusted. Maybe some rubber rollers on the bottom of the 'carry all'' would help remedy the situation. The elimination of ao me of the noise during shorthand classes would be a great step toward improvement in the dispositions of shorthand students and teachers. Marion MikkeIson .
