Melvin Jones Sr. NORTH OGDEN -— Melvin Jones Sr. who resided in No. Ogden, UT went to rest Sept. 2, 2007 at 9:08 a.m. He was born Sept. 15, 1925 to David Jones and Allie Tillman. Melvin was born and raised in Webster Parish, Heflin, LA. Then made his home in Ogden, UT in 1944. He became father to three daughters, Alsie Snellings, Shalese Wharton, Nyler Ables and one son, Melvin Jones Jr. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. _ Surviving are one sister Ida Mae Cash; three brothers Herman Jones, Allen Jones and Ralph Jones and a host of cousins; nephews and nieces.
