Show Julia Mae James, — Ross, Alexander — ahs _ JuliaMae James, Ross, _ Alexander; Mother, Grandmother, Great-grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend departed this life February 7, 2009. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was the second of six chil- dren born to LeRoy James Sr. and Annie Turner, on June 21, 1928 in Hope, Arkansas. She was reared and educated in the Lafayette county Schools and in the Balaytown Baptist Church. _ Julia grew up on her parents farm in Canfield, enjoying life — with her sisters and brothers. Julia was somewhat of a tomboy growing up,: hunting and fishing with her brothers and cousins. . In her younger years she sang ina gospel quartetin the churches in Hope, Arkansas. She came to know. the Lord at an early age and was a member at Griffin Memorial Temple. In 1945 she married Elbert W. Ross Sr. in Hope, Arkansas and from that union four a children were born. One son and daugh| ter deceased, Elbert W. Ross _and.Lesor. She came to Utah in 1950, residing in wW. Ogden. They were divorced. She married ‘ Sam Alexander July 17, 1958 in ba Ogden, Utah (died June 13. ¥S: _ 2004) and from that union they Ws had four daughters. 4 Julia was employed at Mille Nursing Home and Wide Horizc (Rehab Center) for Pd thirty-r’ years as a Dietician, retirir 2004.
