Show A ‘s 4 Obituary of L Brother Waddell McKay Harper, Sr. | Brother Harper passed away at his home in Ogden on December 24, 2008. He was born August 25, 1925 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Wiliam M., Sr. and Fanny = Walker Harper. Brother Harper was Se raised in Council Bluffs and Omaha by his stepmother, Lucille. He obtained his high school diploma at Tech High School. Brother Harper married Beulah L. Berger on July 12, 1948. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 39 years and the Job Corps for several years after retiring from the railroad. An active member of New Zion Baptist Church for 53 years, Brother Harper sang in the choir as a soloist. He was known for his rich baritone voice and his love of Cadillacs. Brother Harper was held in the loving memory of his survivors: wife, Beulah; sister, Fanny Claxton, Omaha, NB; brother, Willis “Pops,” Los Angeles; sons Robert, Provo, UT; Theophilus (Becky) Portland, OR; David, Houston, IX; Waddell, Gunnison, UT; daughter, Mary Roberts, Denver, CO; numerous grand and great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Wiliam (Bill, Wilton (Ti), Rev. Wilkinson (Billy, and Wayne; sister, Winifred (Winnie); and daughter, Pearl. eR |
