Dessa was the oldest of 14 children. | oe ea Dessa married BJ Beal, who also preceded her in death, and to this union was born 14 children. | ARs ey eg she was a devoted wife and mother, and received the NAACP "Mother of the Year" - award. Dessa was a woman of integrity and compassion and a "Guardian Angel" who ministered to the sick. She had a passion for cooking and enjoyed cooking for various functions at the Chris- tian Day School and other church organizations. ea _Dessa is survived by nine children; Billy Joe Beal Jr., Dorothy Lee, Marilyn S. Beal, of Utah, Benjamin C. Beal, Rose- mary Beal, Zadie M, Jordan of Texas, Clyde W. Beal, Bobby R. - Beal of CA. and Don E. Beal of © Georgia.
