He married Beulah L. Berger on July 12, 1948. He | worked for the Union Pacific | Railroad for 39 years and the Job Corps for several years after retiring from the railroad. An active member of the New Zion Baptist Church for 53 years, he _ sang both in the choir and as a soloist.
