Show Norvelle Willis Walton Norvelle Willis Walton was born September 28, 1918 in Halley, Arkansas to her proud parents, Joseph Charles and Mabel Miller Willis. Norvelle grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas. She attended Dunbar High School and continued her education at the local junior college. She married Otis Walton on May 22, 1954, in Spokane, Washington. They later re-located to Ogden in 1958, where they worked at Hill Air Force Base. She continued to work there for over 25 years until retirement. Norvelle was very actively involved with New Zion Baptist Church for 50 years, serving in the choir, as Sunday School teacher and different ministries wherever needed. Norvelle was a very healthy, active, proud, independent, person. She passed away very unexpectedly June 14, 2009, after a very brief illness. Preceded in death by her husband Otis Walton on May 28, 2002 and dear sister, June Verdine Lindsey, June 20, 2001. She is survived by her step-son Otis Walton Jr. of san Antonio, Texas; niece Lisa Morris; great-nieces Jacquelyn Norvelle Peoples(Dan), Michelle Morris and Monique Morris-Guiton; great-nephew Paul T. Morris, Sr. (Sherri); great-great-nieces and nephews Jazmine Lincoln, Ebone Guiton, Paul Morris, Jr., Dominic and Donte Morris, and Connectis Guiton, Jr.; one great-great-great-niece Na’kyla Bosworth and one great-great-great-nephew Isaiah T. Lincoln, of California. Also church family and special friends Donald Carpenter and family and dear neighbors Jackie and Farrell Bryan. |
