With faith in God, she solidified her position as the matriarch of the family, and. with perse- Z ~ verance and God’s favor, she held the family together as she | nurtured all of her children into adulthood. In 1982, Mother Beal relocated from Ogden, to » Barstow, Calis,3 | fornia. There she united with Barstow Church of God in Christ _ under the leadership of the late Bishop Nathaniel Jones, Jr. She | wasa loyal and faithful member, contributing immensely to i , | growth and vitality of the church’s ministry. One of her most | memorable contributions to the church and community, was — : baking peach cobblers. There also, she was elevated by Bishop _ Jones to the position of a mother of the church, and she as- _ : | | sumed the title of “Mother Beal”. As years passed and with | failing health, Mother Beal relocated to Houston, Texas undens : — the care of her daughter and son-in-law, Zadie and William — Jordan.
