She was born July 4, 1924 © in Buckner, Arkansas the daughter of Dairy and Anna Pearson Dockery. She married © a Tucker February 4, 1940. Buckner, AR. ee Thelma. lived in Nevada County, AR for 21 years and Ogden, UT for the last 63 years. Thelma was a member of New Zion Baptist Church where she served in the Sunday School; as a Greeter and Sunday School Secretary. | , She enjoyed cooking, cleaning, sewing and gardening; loved children and Jazz basketball: she played basketball as a young woman. She also loved eating forthe sick and shutin. Thelma is survived by her children Johnny Tucker and wife ReNae of Oakland, CA, Verlira Kitty Stewart and husband EIwood of Clearfield, UT, Carol Jeffries and Shelia Tucker of Ogden, UT; seven grandchildren: eight great-grandchildren: also her brother Olies Dockery and wife Mary of Roy, UT and sister Gertie Bland of Ogden, UT; and a host of cousins; nieces: nephews and friends. she was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one son; one brother and one sister. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 3, 2008 at 1 p.m. at New Zion Baptist _ Church, 2935 Lincoln Ave., Ogden. Friends may call on Tuesday, September 2nd _ at Myers Mortuary of Ogden, 845 Washington Bivd., irom 6 to 8 p.m. Interment, Myers Evergreen Memorial Park.
