Show iv, FON AM Se wee Hazel Hoy oink ticbuicn. 80, was born _ November 9, 1930, in Buckner, AR to the | union of Ivy and Amos Johnson. She was the first born of six siblings. Her parents, j brother and sister, Cecil and Cecelia ; (twins), and her husband, Donald } preceded her in death. -- Hazel was a native of Ogden, Utah for many years. She graduated from the Rosston Nevada Training Academy in Rosston, AR and furthered her education at Weber State University, obtaining degrees in both English and Sociology. She obtained MBA and taught at UC Cal-Berkeley. Mrs. HieBwen was an entrepreneur, social pioneer, equal rights pioneer and a Federal Government EEO Officer. She was a motivational speaker, “‘fashionesta”’, as well as a devoted Christian who gave her life helping others. Hazel departed this life on Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at the home. She leaves to cherish her memory: her only son, Ronald K. McEwen; one brother, Shelly (Carolyn Evaughn) Smith of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Bobbie H. Harvey and Zenobia Smith of Kansas City, Missouri and many nephews, nieces and loving friends who will dearly miss her. |
