Show {Si dalla David Martin © 1934 ~ 2010 Our beloved Husband, Father, Family member and Friend passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, June 21, 2010 surrounded Py say and a friend. avid was born Dec. 10, 1934 in Monticello, Mississippi. He was the - second child of eight children born to David Martin and Vester Griffin. He married his soul mate and wife of 50 years Johnnie Mae Martin. To. this union were born two children, David Martin Ill and Denna Lightner. Daughters Jean Luper and Maryann Dagons. David attended Prentiss Institute where he completed an apprenticeship program in mechanics. He served in the Armed Forces and was given an Honorable Discharge. He accepted Christ in his heart at an early age. He went on to fulfill the calling of a Deacon laboring for the Kingdom Of God until his health deteriorated. He was eee considered to be a father to Mr. Robert Anderson and Mr. Albert Jones. "Deacon Martin" was to teerac To know love him. He always had something oe to say. It was impossible to e in his presence and not feel joy and acceptance. Many called upon him to bake his famous pound cake. or request that he sing them a song. David was preceded in death b his parents, his son David Martin III, brothers Bobby Jean and Jerry and sister Henrietta May. He leaves behind his loving wife, Johnnie Mae, his daughters Denna (Ben), Jean, Marann (Emmit), his godson Jorone Coleman, 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, his brother alter and sisters Juanita (Alfonce), Laura Jean and Janet (Wayne) along with a host: of others immensely. A home-going on ey who will miss service will be June 28, 2010 him. held at Wasatch -Lawn Mortuary, 3401 Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah.
