Show 22 January, Thursday. Went to Camp Y D.U.P. at Mrs Burtons. Had a letter from my brother his daughter Emily had arrived from Hawaii where she has been living the past two years. Her husband remained as he is an ensign. The Gov. is sending all Army families home as fast as possiable. 21 Nations Join Anti Axis pact at Rio de Jenero. McArthur sets back Japanese 13 Air planes bagged. Terriable fighting all over the world. Stalin allows 25,000 Poles to leave Russia to join Poles fighting with Eng. Goats milk and camels, as by all is known, Relieve poor mortals in consumption thrown; While asses milk is deemed far more nutritious, And, een beyond all cows or sheeps, officious. But should a fever in the system riot, Or headache, let the patient shun this diet. Cows milk gives wonted heat to every part, And quickly dissipates the acrid smart Of tainted humors, with a soothing art. . . . Friday, January 23. Cleone not well she fainted yesterday so Dr put her in bed for a few days. Oertel & I went to Acacia at Sharlene Scowcrofts. Mr Karl Grayson read two stories. He broadcasts over K.S.L. and married Rose Bud Scowcroft. Very fine reader. Bitter pills may have blessed effects CHAUCER. WARNERS CALENDAR OF MEDICAL HISTORY. |
