Russell Mrs Ivy Stone Amelia Flygare Mr, Mrs Andy Anderson Mt Ogden Stake Relief Society Gladys & Hellen Rich Elizabeth Thomas other curti JOSEPH AUGUSTUS BLAKE (1864 to 1937) Unusual diagnostic skill and superb surgical judgment were attributes of this gifted and resourceful surgeon. He served uninterruptedly through the World War, gaining a wide experience in the treatment of battle casualties. Joseph Blake made and advocated many advances in war surgery, especially in the treatment of compound infected fractures of the extremities; in employing more scientific methods in the treatment of injuries of the abdominal, pleural and cranial cavities; in devising various changes in splinting, extension and postural apparatus. Sunday, July 12. Was brought home in Ambulance from hospital have not sit out of bed yet. Had three special nurses who gave me good care 24 hr each day until 10th then floor nurses gave me care. My operation was very successful but I thought severe. My son Dr Junior and my dear husband operated and gave me every care. The nurses Mrs Roy Roberts Vera Johnson & Vera Bradshaw were very good. It was unfortunate that I developed trouble in my left leg yesterday. To live is not merely to breathe; it is to act ROUSSEAU. WARNERS CALENDAR OF MEDICAL HISTORY. |
