Show 26 December, Saturday. Dr got up at his usual time 8 A.M. I slept in until 1030 A.M. EIGHTEENTH CENTURY FRANCE The physician at the court of Louis XVI (1776), no doubt cut a grave if not sophisticated figure. His entire costume coat, vest, breeches, stocking, shoes and hat was black. Only the cuffs, frill and collar of the shirt, which were white, and the gold shoe buckles, broke up the somber tone of his garb. Sunday, December 27. We did not go to church had dinner at This evening Dr & I had all the family here to visite with Junior. Served bufet lunch about ten P.M. Nice to be togather again.
