Show 21 March, Saturday. Have spent today at housework. Rested some this afternoon. Edith Rich called. Zula R Cole & daughter called. FIFTEENTH CENTURY BATTLE SCENE Still further evidence of the help given to the wounded in very early times is shown in the illustration depicting the attack of the Swiss Appenzellers upon Bregenz. The original illustration is from the famous Chronik Tschachtlans manuscript (1493), to be found in the Zurich library. From this scene, partially reproduced here from a copy of the original, can be seen the transport of the wounded by hand, and an arrow extraction in a sheltered place. Sunday, March 22. Dr and I went up to Sunday School but did not stay thro because of going up to Junoirs for dinner. Our 5 Ward S.S. commences at 11 A.M. & it is not so convenient for us as we are usualy at the home of some of our four children here and their wards meet earler. The R.S. of 5 Ward gave a Pagent on R.S. but it was not very good. Was given this eve. Called to see Oertel. Cleone at the hospital. Today is, tomorrow is not PROVERBS OF HINDUSTAN. WARNERS CALENDAR OF MEDICAL HISTORY. |
