Melvin Jones Sr. NORTH OGDEN - Melvin Jones Sr. who resided in No. Ogden, UT went to rest Sept. 2, 2007 at 9:08 a.m. He was born sept. 15, 1925 to David Jones and Allie Tillman. Melvin was born and raised in Webster Parish, Heflin, LA. Then made his home in Ogden, UT in 1944. He became father to three daughters, Alsie — Snellings, shalese Wharton, Niyee Able and one son, Melvin Jones Jr. He was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Surviving are one sister Ida Mae Cash; three brothers Herman Jones, Allen Jones and Ralph Jones and aé host of cousins; nephews and nieces. Melvin was a very loving and caring dad and he said he loves everybody. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8th at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. where friends and family may call on Friday, sept. 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. A private family burial will be held at a later date. send condolences to the family at www.myers-mortuary.com
