Show Julia Mae James, Ross, Alexander Julia Mae James, Ross, Alexander; Mother, Grand mother, Greatgrandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend departed this life February 7, 2009. She was surrounded by her loving family. She was the second of six children born to LeRoy James Sr. and Annie Turner, on June 21, 1928 in Hope, Arkansas. She was reared and educated County Schools and in the Balaytown Baptist Church. Julia grew sisters and up on her parent’s farm brothers. Julia was in Canfield enjoying somewhat of a Tom hunting and fishing with her brothers and cousins. In her younger years she Sang in the Lafayette in a gospel life with her Boy growing up, quartet in the churches in Hope, Arkansas. She came to know the Lord at an early age and was a member at Griffin Memorial. | In 1945 she married Elbert W. Ross Sr. in Hope, Arkan sas and from that union four children were born. One son and daugh ter deceased, Elbert W. Ross and Lesor. Ogden. They were She came to Utah in 1950, residing in W. divorced. She married Sam Alexander July 17, 1958 in Ogden, Utah (died June 13, 2004) and from that union they had four daughters. | Julia was employed at Miller Nursing Home and Wide Horiz on (Rehab Center) for thirty-nine years as a Dietician, retirin g in 2004. She received numerous awards. Julia was a member of the Red Hat (Honey Bees) Society, Chapter 15232. Preceding her in death are Paternal Parents; Grand Parents: step- mother; two brothers. Julia leaves behind seven children in Utah: Martha L. Turner (LaSalle), Riverdale, Albert and Jimmy Ross, Sandra Carpenter (Stephen), all of Ogden, Gwenlyon Jackson (Kelvin), Roy, Allice Faye Alexander and Turessa RoShell Alexander of Ogden; nine grand-children, and nieces and cousins. ten great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, Three sisters: Hazel L. Jones (Herman), Anne L. Tarrant, Ogden, UT, Loretta Baker (Raymond) and four brothers; Haywood James, Compton, California; Franklyn B. James , Los Angeles and (big) Frank James (Mary) Santa Paula, California; Ben L. James (Martha Dell) Maywood, Illinois; two cousins from Louis iana; C.N. Turner (Margaret) Bossier City and Howard Allen (Gloria) Shreveport. The family would like to extend a heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Gary W. Mackenzie, Dr. Alan R. Abdulla, Dr. Harry O. Senekjian, and Dr. Lance Tilley for enhancing the quality of their mother’s days and over the last 5 years. | live during her final |
