Show 21 February, Saturday. Had my hair dressed this A.M. Called on Elizabeth Thomas. Since we expect to go to Calif. Tuesday by plane I have been getting some things looked up. Cleone is some better. Junior has some trouble with his teeth. Had one wisdom tooh dicected out. Dosent feel very well. Has called in twice today. 60,000 Japs face being shut out from their homes in Calif must conider all of them enemies. Six hours of sleep suffice for sire and son, Seven hours we grant to sloth, an eighth to none; In less than seven be all thy sleeping done. If nine are needed, take not thou a tenth; Conform thy sleep to nights appointed length. Should health demand, from morning take a third; Better that one from bed all day neer stirred, Than rob his limbs of their accustomed rest; And for such sleep the morning hour is best. Sunday, February 22. Washingtons Birthday. We had a nice dinner with Myrene & family. Her baby girl is a darling. We called on the other children. Dr called on Dr & Mrs Bakers & we spent the rest of the day reading. We attended Sunday School. A genius is often as dull in youth as an editor is in his prime DANIEL DE FOE.
