Started to write my fathers biography. Montpelier Ward sent for it as he was the first presiding Elder there and under his supervision the town was laid out in 1864. WILLIAM OF SALICETO (1201 TO 1277) This outstanding Italian surgeon of the thirteenth century gained his education in the hospital and the battlefield, as well as in the university. He was one of the first to attempt bringing medicine and surgery closer together: he also restored the use of the knife in place of the cautery favored by the Arabian school, and sutured nerves that had been severed.
