JEAN BAPTISTE LOUIS BAUDENS (1804 TO 1857) From a surgical point of view, Louis Baudens was, with Charles Sedillot, the most active military surgeon in the medical corps of the French Army in Algiers. In later years, he served as Medical Inspector to the French Army in Corsica, Italy and the Crimea. Out of his many first-hand war experiences, as well as his hospital work, evolved twenty publications, concerned chiefly with military and hospital surgery. Saturday, June 6.
