Show 4 December, Friday. Thair our son called us from the depot this A.M. he was in charge of a company of Soldiers who are being transfered to the West Coast some where. Not permited to tell where. Dr Lucile Heber and I went down to the train to see him as he could not leave. He looks fine and we are so proud of him he is such a dependable man. I sent Oertel and family their dinner and helped her packed all kitchen articles. The Parent Teachers gave a nice programme for them in appreciation of their services A nice crowd. Our family & friend were there. BEFORE THE RESTORATION These figures were found originally upon the title page of a scientific pamphlet of 1641. Both are physicians. There is some difference in dress to be noted, most evident perhaps being the close cap of the one, in comparison with the puritanical looking hat of the other. Saturday, December 5. Myrene & Oertel helped Oertel yet two trucks packed but it was too late to send them so they will go to her home 6411 E 7 South in the morning. Myrene will go down with her. Oscar has not been able to help so it has been a big job. Have sent lunch twice today. it has been quite hard on me but so glad to do what I can.
