Man in bandana robs new Maverik MARRIOTT-SLATERVILLE — Police say a new Maverik station at 1900 West Pioneer Road was robbed late Saturday night. Officials are looking for a white man who was wearing a white bandana. The man got away with an undisclosed amount of money. According to a deputy with the Weber County Sheriff's Department, an investigation is ongoing into the incident where a man reached over the counter to grab a cash drawer. May 26, 2009 Accident slows 12th Street traffic MARRIOTT- SLATERVILLE—A failure to yield accident caused one man to be taken to the hospital and traffic to be diverted at the intersection of 1900 West and 12th Street Monday. Weber County Sheriff's Sgt. Dave Creager said the 5:42 p.m. collision occurred when the driver of a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee turned left in front of a 2008 Ford F-350 truck pulling a gooseneck horse trailer. The 48-year-old Ogden man was southbound on 1900 West making a turn onto 12th Street. He was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The 36-year-old West Haven man driving the truck, and his two passengers, were not seriously injured. All were wearing seatbelts. 50 |
