Bring your family to the Park at City Hall and enjoy music, local talent, and socialize with friends and family. No charge for this event. Location: 1570 W. 400 N. Time: 7:00 PM. Bring: chairs, blankets, snacks. July 2nd (Thursday) - Eleventh Annual Golf Tournament. Tee times available between: 4:00-7:00 P.M. Place: Ben Lomond Golf Course. Cost: $15 (includes green fees). Register: Danny Brown 801-731-4746. July 4th (Saturday) - Freedom Celebration 5K Run/Walk. Contact Bob Hirschi at 393-1050. Breakfast. 8:00 a.m. - Marriott Park and LDS Church Bowery sponsored by LDS Wards. Parade. 10:30 AM. - 1200 West to Marriott Park. Line-up on 700 South at 10:00 AM. - no entry fee. Lunch and activities. 11:00 AM - at Marriott Park: hamburgers, hot dogs, games, giant slide, candy cannons, pie eating contest, prizes, and lots of fun! SUMMER TENNIS LESSONS Beginner Classes (Sets) Only this Summer Location: DDO Tennis Courts, 391 Standard Way. Ages: 7 years and older. 1st Set: June 8 - 12, (5 classes, 1 lA hours per class). 2nd Set: June 15 - 19, (5 classes, 1 Vi hours per class). Time: 9:00-10:30 AM. Equipment: Rackets and balls available at no charge. Cost: $10.00/set. Bring/Dress: hat, shorts, tee shirt, sun screen, tennis shoes, water. Requirements. Requesting Donations of CERT & Emergency Supplies The Community Emergency Response Team is seeking donations for emergency items to stock the City's CERT units. Items include: first aid supplies, flashlights, blankets, duct tape, scissors, crescent wrench, sheets, plastic bags. PLANNING COMMISSION TUESDAY, JUNE 16, 2009 - 7:00 P.M. 1. Call to Order/Minutes. 2. Public Hearing: Consider allowing RV storage in A-1. 3. Consider revocation, modification, or expansion of conditional use permit for Ben Opheikens on 1700 S. 4. Adjourn until July 21, 2009. This agenda is tentative. Items can and will change. CITY COUNCIL MEETING THURSDAY, JUNE 18, 2009 - 6:30 P.M. 1. Call to Order/Minutes. 2. Business license. 3. USU Extension Master Tree Steward: Regina Smout. 4. Public hearings: a) Special District FY 2009-10 final budget, b) Amended City Budget FY 2008-09, c) Final City Budget FY 2009-10, d) 2nd can garbage fee. 5. Discussion on July 4th Celebration. 6. Officer reports and legislative oversight. 7. Adjourn until July 16, 2009. This agenda is tentative. Items can and will change. LOCAL UPDATES 1. Public Hearings in June. On June 16th at 7 PM, the Planning Commission will be considering a ordinance allowing R.V. Storage in the A-1 Zone on 1200 West near 1700 South. On June 18th at 6:30 PM, the City Council will consider the budgets and a 2nd can garbage fee increase. 2. Municipal Election. The mayor and two council members are up for election this year. The filing period is July 1-15. Specific eligibility and filing requirements apply, so contact Becky at 801-627-1919 if you are interested in running.
