Show The Pioneer Post Volume XI Issue 4 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter April 2009 400 NORTH RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT INFORMATION What is the 400 North Reconstruction Project? 400 North is maintained by Marriott-Slaterville City. The City is coordinating with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) in preparing an environmental study to analyze and consider the reconstruction of 400 North from 1-15 to 1200 West. While final project reconstruction details are not finalized, the City is currently examining: replacement of road and sub-grade, replace utilities and irrigation, adding a center turn lane, shoulder widening, curb, gutter, and bike path, sidewalk, and landscape improvements. All expansion is planned to be in the existing right-of-way. What is an Environmental Study? The City is completing an Environmental Study that will meet the requirements of the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA). NEPA requires that an Environmental Study be completed on any project involving federal funds. The Environmental Study will identify how the project will impact the natural environment and human environment. The City will help keep the public involved as the project moves forward by providing information and accepting comment on the project. The project schedule is: Spring 2009 - Environmental & Design; Summer 2009 - Advertise for Construction; and, Fall/Winter 2009 - Construction.
