Show The Pioneer Post Volume XI Issue 12 Marriott-Slaterville City Newsletter December 2009 Christmas Message by Scott VanLeeuwen, Council At-large The other day while I was traveling around Marriott- Slaterville I noticed the decorations being hung and the people waiving at me as I drove by. This made me grateful to live in such a friendly, nice community. I am thankful for the sense of community we enjoy. While doing a recent community service project in one of our beautiful river conservation parks it reminded me of the saying "over the river and through the woods" and that it is referring to the great place where we live. I encourage you to enjoy our parks and the other amenities our community offers, and I hope that you have a wonderful holiday season. On behalf of the city, I thank everyone doing their part to make this city a great place to live.
