Show 28 JANUARY 27 DAYS PAST Tuesday 338 DAYS TO COME Did not go to R.S. Worked on memory book. Rex young here today & stayed over night Dr showed him his pictures. Last night Date should be Friday 31 Dr and I enjoyed the evening with Mrs Frank Ellis given for Dr Junior & Blanch Rich who expect to leave soon by Pan American Air Ways for a 35 day trip to South & Central America. A delicious dinner was served. Ten guests were present. Table decorations were a miniature Air Plane etc. CONVULSIONS- A GREASY DISHRAG The doctor gave an enema and administered chloroform to quiet the convulsive little child. Yet the well-intentioned but less informed neighbors in this backwoods Southland decided to rely on their own remedies. While one of them stood by with salt in his clenched hands, another scurried about looking for a greasy dishrag with which to rub the childs face and effect the miraculous cure.
