Show 19 FEBRUARY 49 DAYS PAST Wednesday 316 DAYS TO COME Had cleaning done but in some way took some cold have done some book work. Had letter from Oertel, also word from Jr. & Blanch from mexico EPIDEMIC DISEASE- SERBIAN RITUAL Fires light up each side of the tunnel dug beneath the oak. Two old women stand by with vessels of water and milk. As each person creeps through the tunnel, a cross is marked on his shoulder with a charred stick, he is given a taste of milk and is told to gaze into the jar of melted fat which stands to one side. This climaxes a ritual to end an epidemic. Thursday 50 DAYS PAST FEBRUARY 20 315 DAYS TO COME A busy social day. Wedding reception of Ruth Wattis Harris. Married this A.M. to Mr An announcement party at Mrs Karl Hopkins of their daughter Mary. Visited the Art exhibit at Weber. Also the concert by Weber symphony tonight. Dr doesnt feel very well has some cold. Is doing more than when Junior is here to take the big part of the work.
