Show 11 FEBRUARY 41 DAYS PAST Tuesday 324 DAYS TO COME Cloteels birthday. I have spent all day on memory book. DYSENTERY- THREE REMEDIES To produce a remedy for dysentery, ancient Greeks quenched a red-hot iron in water or wine. The Irish took three times daily a concoction made of woodbine and maiden hair, powdered and boiled in new milk with oatmeal. In other countries, part of a skull was given to cure this malady. Wednesday 42 DAYS PAST FEBRUARY 12 323 DAYS TO COME Have worked on Junior & Blanchs memory book some but must get more done next week. Mary is 31 yrs old today. She is a very capable mother & wife has two sons and a daughter. Dr and I attended Republican Lincon Day dinner at Ben Loman hotel. We felt the speaker rather forgot for whom the dinner was given (in memory of) and made a political talk. Dr did not enjoy it. Also was a poor meal. Marys Birthday. She is a fine daughter & a good wife & mother A letter from Thair. All well Science commits suicide when it adopts a creed- HUXLEY WARNERS CALENDAR TORY |
