Roder (Man, Nov., 1939) illustrates a childs foot-print 6 inches long and an adults hand-print 9 inches long, found on rocks in Dutch New Guinea. These digits were pressed against the rock and then were silhouetted by daubing paint around them. There are four striking points about the foodprint: and inward curve of the fore part of the foot; abduction of the hallux; isolation of the second toe from the others; and prominences half-way along the medial and lateral boarders.
