Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

Will ask congress to swell pool to 28,000,000 Probe of Hawaii disaster Myrene Rich Brewer gave birth to her sixth child, a sweet perfect little girl. At Dee hospital. Dr Edward I. Rich attended her making his 27 grand child 38 Aliens arrested in Utah today MOSTLY TOOTHPULLER Dentists of an earlier day were mostly toothpullers, as is evidenced by not a few paintings. This portrayal of an unfortunate victim is after a painting by Adriaen van Ostade (1610-1685) of Holland. The dwarfed figure to the left appears to be holding a receptacle reading, possibly for the use of the patient after the tooth is extracted. Blanchs B. McKay & wife Thomas E McKay & wife D.J. Wilson & wife, David Romney & wife. Elija Larkin & wife. Steve Stevenson & wife Geo A Lawe & wife, Mrs Fred Farr. Papers are too full of War comments to mention. Blackouts bring war close to West Coast. A man is not a wall, whose stones are crushed upon the road; or a pipe, whose fragments are thrown away at a street corner.
