During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

JULY 31 DAYS Zodiac: Cancer. The Crab. Seventh month. Named from Caius Julius Ceasar, born this month. Called Quintilis (fifth month) in old Roman calendar, which began in March. Disease most prevalent: Summer diarrhea of infants. Wednesday 182 DAYS PAST JULY 2 183 DAYS TO COME Oertel, Cleone, Myrene & I went to Salt Lake to attend an announcement Tea for Miss Patricia McCarthy Drs sisters grand daughter. His Niece (her mother Maueria McCarthy)gave the party at their lovly new home out at Cottonwood to announcement party Scharf, Sayer Summer We, the girls & I, decided a concert at which Arthur Shepard assisted at piano the Roth Quartet play his Composition given for the first time in Utah. The same quarted played LeRoy Robertsons Quartet in E. Minor which is thoroughly American & very interesting. Arrived home at 1: 30 A.M.
