Was very stormy EYE AFFECTIONS- SIEVE OR STRAINER It was said in Bamberg that if a child with granulation of the eyelids looked through a sieve or strainer, the condition would be overcome. In the minds of these people, there was apparently some similarity between the holes of the sieve or strainer and the granulation; hence the idea that cure would come about by looking through such an object.
