A real snow storm during the night as much as more snow than at any one time in two years. This evening Dr Thair & I went to the High School to hear Bruna Castagna, leading Contrelto of Metropolitan Association. Very good. Oertel has a bad cold. We were to have been her guests Sunday for dinner. She will not be able to have us she is so disappointed. GOLDEN TOOTHED BOY In 1593, a rumor spread through Germany of a seven-year old Silesian lad who had erupted a gold tooth. Learned pamphlets and dissertations followed. Some few writers were suspicious It was noted that the boy resented examination, that the gold tooth was larger than the others and neighboring molar was missing. The case was affirmed an imposture; the tooth had merely been covered with a gold crown. Yet, despite these observations, a new dissertation on the golden tooth appeared as late as 1695. Wednesday 322 DAYS PAST NOVEMBER 19 43 DAYS TO COME Thair has spent most all day at home. This evening Dr and I had Turkey dinner for all the Adults in our family. Were very sorry Oertel could not be with us as she had not been home for Thanksgiving in 17 years. She is quite ill. Dr does not feel so well as he has eaten some thing that disagreed with him.
