Show 4 APRIL 93 DAYS PAST Friday 272 DAYS TO COME Oscar went to S.L.C. Conference is on so Aunt Mary and I have listened to both sessions Especially did we enjoy Pres. Grants wonderful talk and testimony . Humble & inspiring. Dr has quite a bad cold. Aunt Mary and I went to a show at the Orpheum. Saw Loraine Day in the Trial of Mary Dugan. She was very good. Raining tonight. Dont know much of the War news except that it is terriable and the strikes in America are serious. Revelations being fulfilled and our leaders are calling for the Saints to live near to our Heavently Father. LEPROSY- BATH OF BLOOD The cries of Unclean! Unclean! Echoed through many ages. The leper, his affliction regarded as a punishment from God, was compelled to become an outcast. The disease though dreadful found its match in an even more horrible cure: a bath made of the blood of infants. Yet it many well be that in the days when human life was cheaply bartered, the remedy was easily procured. Saturday 94 DAYS PAST APRIL 5 271 DAYS TO COME Aunt Mary and I have listened to General Conference both sessions and enjoyed every word. Five men were named to assist the twelve apostles of the church and one apostle of the church and one Apostle (Elder Harold Lee) named to fill Apostle Reed Smoots place during this conference the 111th Gen. Con. Of the L.D.S. Church. We Aunt & I went down town to have Dr treat her face (or spot) with x ray. He also presented her with new byfocil glasses. Her oldest son from Nev. Came & stayed overnight. I hadent seen him for forty- years. He is a Bishop also a school teacher & seems a fine mom. Drs cold and so good. The heart has eyes that the brain knows nothing of- CHARLES H.
