Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

OCR Text	Show 29 JUNE 179 DAYS PAST Sunday 186 DAYS TO COME Dr & I went to Sunday School At 7 A.M. we went to hear The Creation at the Ogden Tabernacle given by the choir with orchestra Cleone was Concert master. Oertel also went to hear it. It was done splendidly with all local talent Lester Hinchliff conducting chorus, at 12:30 we attended Enoch Hursts funeral service. Dr gave closing prayer. Called at Oertels this evening. Announcement of Janath Russells engagement to Ted Cannon. To be married Aug. 13th 1941 SECOND YEAR FEEDING The aim of feeding in the second year, states Dr. J. M. Lyon (Pa. M. J. July, 1939) is to get the child to feed himself at regular intervals. Much refined food, sugar and sweets, should be avoided. Eating refine foods may prevent the ingestion of sufficient plain food to give enough protein, minerals and vitamins. There should be no interference with the babys own crude methods in learning to feed himself. Monday 180 DAYS PAST JUNE 30 185 DAYS TO COME Rupert Knowles cleaned all thro the house.
